Snapshot of the COVID-19 funds received so far

We’ve been grateful and humbled to receive help and contributions from various individuals and organisations from across the world.
Here are some details of the funds and in-kind support we are using to get essentials to communities that are struggling since the lockdown was imposed on March 24th.

COVID Relief Support from individuals:
March 25th to March 31st – Rs. 3,70,000
April 1st to May 8th – Rs. 13,47,000
Foreign contributions – Rs. 65,000

Institutional Grants:
Wipro Foundation (Azim Premji Philanthropic Initiatives) – Rs. 11,30,000
Asha for Education, Seattle Chapter – Rs. 2,00,000

We have spent approx. Rs. 22 lakhs so far in procurement of dry ration (wheat, rice, pulses, oil, spices) and vegetables, soaps. Starting from about 2500 families, we are now reaching out to about 6000 families.

Besides the funds contributed, we have received so much help in important ways! While we may have forgotten to mention many people’s efforts and energies, here are some people and collectives who we are deeply grateful to!
